My name is Mari and I am currently a SAHM of 2. I have a 5-year-old son and my daughter was born in November, and I am lucky enough to be married to my best friend. We also have 1 dog, though my son has been begging for a hamster for over a year now. I have been scrapbooking for 14 years and just really started getting into card making this year. I love learning new techniques and discovering new products. I am a coordinator for the Feline Playful blog and just recently started the Send A Smile 4 Kids Foundation. When I'm not busy doing the mom and wife thing, I sneak upstairs to my crafty corner and get creative. And that's a little about me.

A  little history about my card making endeavours. I started card making way back in 1995 through doing classes from Crafty kids which was an Australian company that came to New Zealand and have since left. That started it off for me I became hooked because I could see all sorts of possibilities with making cards for birthdays and then for Christmas, then it branched into starting to go to more card classes and I got really addicted to it then as to me Card making is forever evolving always something new to try. I like trying different card folds, am totally in love with my Cuttlebug so you will see lots of cards using the different embossing folders that I have, I also like doing card sketches, card recipes, 10 minute cards and stuff like that. I dabble in mini albums and am getting big on doing journalling as well now. I do some scrap booking, not a lot. What inspires me are other people’s blogs and surfing the net for new ideas.
I am 55, a Type 1 diabetic, do volunteer work with Red Cross in our local shop, meals on wheels, and am also a partner for Spiritsparkplugs.com. I am now semi retired but do some work in carer respite care work which I really love.

I live in Adelaide , South Australia and have been stamping, making cards, crafting and sewing for over 20 years. I love to make all types of cards and crafts – I don’t limit myself to one genre in fact I love vintage, asian, cutesy, sassy – anything goes! I have a room full of paper, cardstock, envelopes, tools and embellishments but you never know when you might need that obscure little piece you have kept! I hope you enjoy my creations whilst you are here at Send a Smile 4 Kids and can get some inspiration. Please visit my Blog at http://sharonshowcase.blogspot.com .

Please stop by the Design Team blogs and leave some love for them!
