Hi there, my name is Hilde and I have 3 children, 2 grown up boys and one girl (15). I am also a grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren. I have always loved craft, in any shape or form, the only thing I haven't done yet is pottery.I used to teach crafts at an adult college, and have done many fundraisers through the church I used to belong to. I have had a silkpainting business many years ago. Sold my creations in shops and at the markets, been there, done that. But my newest love is card making. I do some scrapbooking, but cards are my thing. Love it. Since I have been blogging and joined some challenges, my style has competely changed and is still is constantly changing. Which I love.  I am also loving all the gadgets that come with it. My husband and I will be celebrating out 30th Wedding Anniversary in November this year. Phew, has it been 30years? I am very blessed to have a husband who is my biggest fan and supports me in all my craft ventures.
Please visit Hilde's blog at: http://happyglitzygirl.blogspot.com/  and leave her some congratulations on her new dt position and check out her awesome cards. Here is her card for the Sweet Treats Challenge:

We are also saying goodbye to Mari, the founder of Send A Smile 4 Kids blog and challenge blog and to Wendy, the challenge coordinator of SAS4Kids at this time. Both are leaving because of life changes and had to make the tough decision to step back from these blogs for now. Mari did such a wonderful job getting this cause and these blogs going and Wendy was a huge help to her as the challenge coordinator. They will be greatly missed. Those of us left are determined to keep this great cause going collecting and distributing cards to inpatient hospitalized kids and to bringing you these fun challenges along the way. Please visit us at SAS4Kids main blog to read how you can help put a smile on kids' faces.

Design Team Call

Send a Smile 4 Kids is going through some changes right now and soon you will see them reflected on our blogs. We are looking to grow in the near future and we would like to expand our design team as part of that growth and revitalization. If you have an active stamping blog and love to make and share cards, please send me (khasheck@gmail.com) your blog link and a paragraph or two about yourself and your stamping history including present and past design team experience. Please put SAS4Kids DT CALL in the subject line.  We are a small but passionate group all about helping kids and stamping fun and would love to add some more like minded stampers to our team.

Welcome to a New Design Team Member AND Challenge 8 Winners

Today is a special day here at SAS4Kids because we are welcoming a new design team member, Debby Walker. Debby has been a winner of our challenges and a guest dt member and we loved her cards, like the awesome one at the top of this blog entry. Now we are thrilled to welcome her as a regular team member. Here is a few words by Debby introducing herself:

Hi, I'm Debby and I live in NW Ohio and am taking care of my mom in her twilight years.
I have loved crafting since I was a small child; I remember loving to color and make things with paper back then. As a young adult I started collecting ephemera; I love the look, feel, and history of it. Over the years I have created with ceramics, beads, polymer clay and many other crafts and always have fun doing it. I will try anything....lol. I started scrapbooking 20 years ago when there was nothing on the market and had to dream up my own ideas. And about 8 years ago I joined a group of ladies who were card making, and we get together once a month to play. And that progressed to trading ATCs. My passion is cardmaking and I am loving playing with you all on Blogland...it's helping to feed my addiction to all things paper.

Please visit Debby's blog at http://debby-paperpearls.blogspot.com/ and check out her great cards and leave her some love and congratulations on this dt position.

We are also announcing the winners of Challenge 8, Spring Showers. The random winner of 4 digital stamps of her choice from Sassy Studio Designs is #3, Lindsey Marie!
