TEAM S.A.S. Welcomes Two New Members and Winners for Bright Colors 4 Kids!

It's a doubly fun Saturday at Send a Smile 4 Kids today because not only are we announcing the winners of the Bright Colors 4 Kids challenge, but we are also thrilled to be introducing two new members joining TEAM S.A.S.  

Please help us welcome Berni Cuttino of Chasing the Dream blog to our design team. Here is her smiling face, a card she designed for our kids, and some information she shared for her introduction: 

"Hi, I am Bernardine Cuttino, kindly called me BERNI.

I live in Santa Clarita, CA, USA, 40 miles North of Los Angeles. I guess you could say, it is the High Desert, weather is triple digit's in the Summer and cold in the winter. In fact, there is snow on the mountains in the winter, very pretty. Now if you go South towards the water, there is the beach. You have the best of both worlds.

 I retired from Princess Cruises, the cruise line. Have had the good fortune to have traveled the world and visited all seven continents. My favorite place in the world is Italy. I also worked in the Motion Picture Industry for twenty years. I have worked with many actors and actresses, producers. I cast Star Trek The Next Generations, TV show.

Started with scrapbooking and went into card making when I retired. I love to create and experiment with different techniques; and enjoy gardening. I am involved in the Women ministry at church. Create cards for OWH (Operation Write Home) for the soldiers worldwide and create cards for the Missionaries in my church who are also worldwide. Living the life of the retiree. Always looking for inspiration and ready for a challenge."

We have also invited Kathy Stacy of The Crafty Nurse blog to join our design team. Here is Kathy’s picture, a card she designed for our kids and what she shared with us about her life and stamping background: 

"Hello! My name is Kathy Stacy, also known as "The Crafty Nurse".  You'll find me at kathystacy.com  I'm a Southern California native who is now living in Upstate New York.  By day, I'm a Registered Nurse, but most any other time you'll find me at my craft table where my true passion is to create.  I mostly make cards, but also really enjoy art journaling and scrapbooking. I have a full set of Copic Markers and use them just about every day. I also enjoy Primsacolor Pencils and any techniques using ink.  I participate in many different challenge blogs and enjoy interpreting sketches.  I also donate cards to Operation Write Home, an organization that supports deployed hero's by providing cards for them to send home to their families (my youngest is an active Marine).  When I found Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge blog, I was thrilled.  As a nurse I know how hard it is for children who are hospitalized or not feeling well.   I'm even more excited now to be a part of this great group and look forward to both getting and giving some fun inspiration. On a personal note, I have been married to my dear husband for 21 years and have two adult boys, Dan and Matt, who I am exceedingly proud of. Now with all that said - let's get to making some cards for kids!!!!! Woo Hoo!"
