SAS4Kids: Cute Fall/Halloween Cards 4 Kids

It's the first Saturday in September... which means it's time for a new challenge here at Send a Smile 4 Kids. Before we get to this month's theme, we have our lucky August challenge winner to announce.

This month's lucky number is 12. Congratulations, Majda! Please email me at cards.by.sybrina@gmail.com, including SAS4Kids in the subject line, to schedule your upcoming guest appearance. And a huge thank you to everyone who linked up cards for last month's challenge.

Speaking of those creative juices, Halloween is a perennial crowd favorite with our SAS4Kids card makers. This is the time of year to ink up some jack-o-lanterns or die cut some leaves to make cute fall/Halloween cards for our SAS4Kids kiddos. It seems time really lies once the calendar turns to September... and the deadline to get fall/Halloween cards to our shippers will be here before we know it.

    Upcoming deadlines:
    Cute Fall/Halloween - October 5
    Thanksgiving - November 5
    Christmas/Winter Cards - December 5

This month, we are thrilled to welcome Guest Designer Donna who shares her adventures in cardmaking at Design by Donna. Stopping by Donna's blog, you will find an impressive variety of styles. Cards for gals. Cards for guys. Cards for kiddies. Fun folds. CAS designs. And lots of sketch-inspired cards. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Donna. And thanks sooooo much for all you do for our SAS4Kids kids!

Now, without any further ado, here are a few cards to get those cute fall/Halloween juices flowing.

While we are featuring cute fall/Halloween cards this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for this month's challenge. You have until Friday, October 2 to link up your creation. While you aren't required to donate your card to SAS4Kids in order to play along, one of our hospitalized patients would love it if you did. Card guidelines and shipper information can be found by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.

As always, thank you for joining us here at SAS4Kids. We can't wait to see your works of heart in our September gallery.

SAS4Kids: Anything Goes 4 Kids!

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday! It's time for a new challege here at Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Before we get to our this month's challenge, I have the pleasure of announcing the July participant who has been randomly selected to join us as a Guest Designer. The lucky number was 1Congratulations, Tinyworks!

Please email me at cards.by.sybrina@gmail.com, including SAS4Kids in the subject line, to schedule your upcoming guest appearance. Our thanks to everyone who played along with last month's Christmas in July challenge. It was great fun to see snowy scenes, winter critters, and more than one adorable snowman.  :)

This is our last challenge before we start focusing on fall and winter holidays. So, we thought this would be a perfect time for an Anything Goes month. Maybe you want to get an early start on those fall/Halloween or Christmas cards, inking up some jack-o-lanterns or Santas. Or maybe you prefer to make a few generic, non-specific themed cards to send to your favorite shipper(s). You will see that our designers focused on birthday cards... just in case our shippers needed to have a few of these on hand before the holiday season kicks into full gear.   :)

This month, we are thrilled to welcome Darlene of Dar's Crafty Creations as a Guest Designer. And "Crafty Creations" is a perfect name for Darlene's blog. Perfect name! Darlene loves trying her hand at a variety of different challenges: Christmas challenges, CAS challenges, sketch challenges, board challenges, element challenges.... Well, you get the idea! Thank you so much, Darlene, for sharing your talents and passion with us. This fun Disney card would surely bring a huge smile to a little face.

Jen

Even though our DT focused on birthday cards, it is an Anything Goes month. ANY kiddie-appropriate card can be entered in this month's challenge, and you have until Friday, September 4, to link up your creation. While you aren't required to donate your linked-up card to SAS4Kids, one of our hospitalized patients would love it if you did. Card submission information can be found by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.

If you're interested in getting a head start on holiday cards for the kids, here are our upcoming holiday deadlines.

    Cute Fall/Halloween - October 5
    Thanksgiving - November 5
    Christmas/Winter Cards - December 5

As always, thank you for all you do for SAS4Kids. Can't wait to see your works of heart in our August gallery!

SAS4Kids: Christmas in July 4 Kids

Happy July! Happy Saturday! For those in The States, Happy 250th, America!

But before we get to our this month's challenge, I have the pleasure of announcing the June participant who has been randomly selected to join us as a Guest Designer. The lucky number was 9. Congratulations, Darlene!

Darlene, please email me at cards,by.sybrina@gmail.com, including SAS4Kids in the subject line, to schedule your upcoming guest appearance. And a huge shout-out to all those who played along with us last month. From the look of things, there's a whole lot of fun going on this summer.  :)

While it was tempting to have a red, white, and blue card challenge this month given the America250 celebrations happening here, we decided to stick with our traditional Christmas in July Challenge. So, this month's challenge is to make Christmas/holiday cards for our kids.

Here are a few cards that would be perfect for our SAS4Kids kids.

You aren't required to donate your linked-up card to SAS4Kids, but one of our hospitalized patients would love it if you did. Card submission information can be found by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.
