SAS4Kids: January Jewels

Hi, everyone! Welcome back!

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who played along with last month's Love/Valentines 4 Kids Challenge and/or sent cards to our shippers. We know it can be tough to get back to crafting so soon after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. We truly appreciate all of our wonderful card makers who did just that. You all are the best!

The cards in our January Gallery were just so sweet. Here are three that caught our eyes.

Ginny's pup and birdie are absolutely adorable... and beautifully colored!
Moreover, her curved sentiment and torn edges are great design elements.

Jose's pastel-colored dinosaurs make for such an unusual spring card.
And we know how much kids love shape cards. How fun!

We can't get over the level of detail Maria Giselle put into this card.
Look closely at those Xs and Os. Really closely.
Those are all die cuts. All of them. Absolutely mind blowing!

Congratulations, ladies! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us. Be sure to grab our Top 3 badge to display on your blog.

Our current Spring/Easter Cards 4 Kids Challenge runs until March 1. While we are featuring Spring/Easter 4 Kids this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for the challenge.

It is never required that you donate your card after linking it up for the challenge, but a hospitalized kiddie/tween/teen would surely appreciate it if you did. The deadline for getting Spring/Easter cards to your favorite shipper(s) is actually just a couple days away. If you have Spring/Easter cards to get to your shipper(s), please reach out to them ASAP.

As always, thank you for all you do for our SAS4Kids patients.

SAS4Kids: Easter/Spring Cards 4 Kids

Hi, everyone! It's the first Saturday of a new month which means it's time for a new Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge. This month, our theme is Easter or Spring Cards 4 Kids.

While I'm still finishing up Valentine cards for family members, our shippers have already sent Valentine and Love cards to their hospitals. They have turned their thoughts to hopping bunnies, colorful Easter eggs, cute baby animals, and pretty pastel flowers. The earliest possible date for Easter is March 22 and, this year, the holiday falls on March 31. So, our deadline for getting those Easter and Spring cards to our shippers falls around March 4.

Here's a look at the cards our talented designers have created for this challenge!

You have until noon US/Central Time on Friday, March 1, to join in our February challenge. Since all SAS4Kids challenges are card specific, only kid-appropriate linked-up cards (any theme) will be eligible for DT Shout-out recognition. It is not required that you send your card to one of our shippers... but an in-patient child/teen would love it if you did.

As always, thank you for your support of SAS4Kids. We look forward to seeing your works of heart in our February gallery.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

SAS4Kids: December Darlings

Hi, everyone! Hope your new year is off to a great start.

A huge thank you to everyone who played along with last month's Winter Cards 4 Kids Challenge. Your December cards are always so darn cute, and last month our gallery was filled with so many fun winter cards! Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

Elizabeth created a beautiful vintage winter scene, complete with sparkly 3-D snow.
Our designers loved way the light hit that old-time house. So pretty!

Trina did it again, creating AMAZING dimension through stamping and masking.
But, as Tina asked on her blog, is the mouse tangling up a frenemy... or untangling a friend?

Deanne also did it again, using her Cricut to create another adorable scene. Too cute!
We know there are kids with December birthdays who would love receiving a non-Christmasy card.

Congratulations, ladies! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us. Be sure to grab our Top 3 badge to display on your blog.

Our current challenge runs until February 2. While we featured Love/Valentine Cards 4 Kids this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for the challenge.

While it is not required that you donate your card after entering, a hospitalized kiddie/tween/teen would surely appreciate it if you did.
  • Monday was the date listed on our website as the deadline for sending Valentine cards to our shippers.
  • If you still have Valentine cards you would like to send to SAS4Kids, please touch base with your favorite shipper(s) ASAP. Thank you!
As always, thanks so much for your support of Send a Smile 4 Kids. Your cards 4 our kids always put huge smiles on little faces.
