SAS4Kids: July Jewels

Hi, everyone! A big thanks to everyone who linked up a card for our Christmas in July Challenge. Our gallery was filled with Santas... and penguins... and trees. Oh, my!

It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes. (You'll notice our DT selected a couple of slimline cards this time around. We do ask that, if you are making your cards for SAS4Kids, you check with our shippers to see if their hospitals accept non-A2 cards. Not all of them do. Thank you.)

5. Chrissy

Chrissy's delightful scene is chock-full of texture and dimension, and
her attention to detail in creating Santa's train and her background is amazing

Our DT was blown away by this interactive pendulum element and,
as always, we loved Trina's pham-tastic coloring!

Kids will love colorful dp and these adorable critters, and
we all really appreciated the tweaks Melanie made to the die cut.
She made small tweaks that made a big difference in the card's design.

Congratulations, ladies! Great job!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

  • Be sure to grab our Top 3 badge to display on your blog.
  • If you would like to join us as a Guest Designer for a future challenge, email Sybrina at cards[dot]by[dot]sybrina[at]gmail[dot]com. Please include SAS4Kids DT in your email subject line.

Our current Thank You Cards (from the kids and their families) Challenge runs until September 3. However, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for the challenge.

It is not required that you donate your card after entering, but a young patient in one of the SAS4Kids hospitals would surely love it if you did. For information about donating cards, click on the tabs at the top of our blog. Please check your shippers' needs before sending cards their way.

As always, thank you for all you do for SAS4Kids. We so appreciate it!

SAS4Kids: Thank You Cards from the Kids

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!

Since it's the first Saturday of the month, it's time for a new challenge. This month our DT focus is on thank you cards. When I was shipping cards to Nationwide Children's, I continuously received requests for two types of cards: cards with images only... and thank you cards. Lots and lots of requests for thank you cards. Families were always asking for cards that they could give/send to all those who have helped out during their child's hospital stay, including those nurses, doctors, and hospital staffers who provided such extraordinary care. So, before we all get busy with Fall/Halloween and holiday cards, we're taking this time to feature thank you cards.

With no further ado, let's take a look at what our DT has for us today.

Even though we are focusing on thank you cards this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for this month's challenge and you have until Friday, September 3 to link up your creation. While you aren't required to donate your card to SAS4Kids to play along with us, one of our hospitalized patients would love it if you did. Card submission information can be found by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.

As always, thanks for your support of SAS4Kids. Hope to see you in our August gallery.
