SAS4Kids: November Nuggets!

Hi, everyone! It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs!

A big thanks to everyone who played along with last month's Happy Holiday Cards 4 Kids Challenge. There were so many cheery holiday cards in our November gallery. Here are three that caught our DT's eyes.

Bernie's framed Santa is sure to be loved
by kids and their parents alike. Just gorgeous!

Kids love sparkly...
and Trina's iridescent foiled background is a real showstopper!

Take a close look to see that Melanie's penguins' hats
coordinate with her rainbow-colored background. How fun!

Congratulations, ladies! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

SAS4Kids: Winter Cards 4 Kids

Hi, everyone! Yes, it is the first Saturday of a new month. First Saturdays around here mean it's time for a new challenge. First Saturdays in December -- yes, DECEMBER!!! -- mean it's time for a Winter Cards 4 Kids Challenge.

This time of year, our SAS4Kids shippers are certainly busy putting finishing touches on the holiday card boxes going out to our hospitals. The deadline for getting Christmas/holiday cards to the shippers is actually this Monday. So, if you have last minute cards you were planning on sending to a shipper, please reach out to her ASAP.

Time to take a look at our gals wintry creations. We have a fun shaker card, some cute critters, and a couple of adorable snowpeople. And, if you're interested in getting a head start on possible Valentine Cards 4 Kids, wintry love cards are always a great option.

You have until January 6 to play along with this month's challenge. While we are featuring winter cards this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up. And, even though you don't have to send your card in to SAS4Kids to join in the challenge fun, an in-patient child/teen would love it if you did.

Lastly, I know we say this every month, but we are so appreciative for your support of Send a Smile 4 Kids. I remember being overwhelmed with gratitude when I packed up holiday cards to send to the kids at Nationwide Children's. Each card we send out is a work of heart and we thank each and every one of you form the bottom of our hearts.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season! See you in the new year!

SAS4Kids: Happy Holidays 4 Kids

Hello, everybody! Today is the first Saturday in November... which means it's time for a new challenge here at Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Yes, it's already that time of the year when our shippers shift their attention away from pumpkins and scarecrows to snowmen and Santas. I am really excited that we have such a wonderful variety of cards to share today. Not only do we have cards from all our designers, but we also have a fun card from a Guest Designer!

Arlene Rose shares her adventures in cardmaking at Sundaystamper Papercrafts, where you'll find great inspiration for all kinds of cards. In addition to sharing her fabulous kiddie and CAS cards, Arlene also shares lots of great ideas for guy cards. Thank you soooo much, Arlene, for joining us a Guest Designer this month... as well as for your loyal support of SAS4Kids!

While we are focusing on holiday cards 4 our kids this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for this month's challenge and you have until Friday, December 2 to share your creation. While you aren't required to donate your linked-up card to SAS4Kids, one of our hospitalized patients surely would love it if you did. Card submission information can be found by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.

As always, thanks so much for your support of SAS4Kids. Hope to see you in our Holiday Cards Gallery!

Hi, everyone! A big thanks to everyone who linked up a card for our Cute Fall/Halloween Challenge. There were so many adorable cards. Soooo many!

It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes. (And, may I offer a gentle reminder that only cards are eligible for Top Three Honors? While we love seeing all your creativity in our galleries, the SAS4Kids' monthly challenge is a card-specific challenge because of our mission to get cards in the hands of in-patient kids.)

Wow! We love pop-up cards around here...
and Nancy's haunted house is amazing!

We also love paper-pieced critters in these parts.
And Rachael's gel pen touches are just... perfect. Soooo cute!

Our gals were quite impressed by Donna's colors.
And, those dancing skeletons are such great fun!

Congratulations, ladies! Great job!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

Yes, to help our shippers with their upcoming fall shipments, we are focusing on fall and Halloween cards. SAS4Kids: July Jewels

Hi, everyone! A big thanks to everyone who linked up a card for our Christmas in July Challenge. There were so many cute holiday critters in last month's gallery. And, of course, no Christmas gallery would be complete without a few jolly Santas and decorated trees.

It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

2. Rosi

The team was wowed by Rosi's strong focal point and
her oh-so-clever use of washi tape. Soooo clever!

Trina's off-season, vacationing Santa brought a smile to all our faces...
and is sure to do the same for a kiddo. What a fun card!

Rachael's beautifully colored gnome just pops
 against a glittery black-and-white background.
And that hand-drawn doodled border is... perfectly genius!

Congratulations, ladies! Great job!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

SAS4Kids: Thank You Cards

Hi everyone! Thank you for joining us for a new challenge here at SAS4Kids.

But first, please know our thoughts go out to all affected by recent unimaginable weather events. It seems that so many have been suffering from raging fires, unprecedented flooding, and life-threatening heat. Moreover, our sincerest appreciation goes out to those courageous responders who risk their lives day in and day out to protect and serve their neighbors.

For today's challenge, we are thrilled to welcome back Melanie as a Guest Designer. Melanie shares her adventures in crafting at Cards by Melanie and her bright, cheery, whimsical kiddie cards never fail to delight. Today's card feaatures an adorable pair of mice gleefully offering up thanks for a job well done.

Yes, this month we are featuring thank you cards, but not cards 4 the kids. These are cards that the kids and their families can give to nurses, doctors, hospital staffers.... give to anybody who has done a little something special for them.

So, let's take a look at what Melanie and our SAS4Kids DT have created this month!

While we are focusing on thank you cards this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for this month's challenge and you have until Friday, September 2 to link up your creation. While you aren't required to donate your linked-up card to SAS4Kids, one of our hospitalized patients would love it if you did. Card submission information can be found by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.
