SAS4Kids: November Nuggets

Hi, everyone! It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs!

A big thanks to everyone who played along with last month's Happy Holiday Cards 4 Kids Challenge. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

Nothing says "Happy Holidays" to a little one like Santa,
and nothing said fun to us like this special-fold card!

Our team loved the focal point created with the layering of
those cheery holiday papers for that sparkly sentiment. So festive!

We just fell in love with this festive light-bearing fairy.
And that snowy effect created with acrylic paint and Wink of Stella.... WOW!

Congratulations, ladies! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

  • If you would like to join us as a Guest Designer for a future challenge, email Sybrina at cards[dot]by[dot]sybrina[at]gmail[dot]com. Include SAS4Kids DT in the subject line.

Our current Winter Cards 4 Kids Challenge runs until December 31. However, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for the challenge.

It is not required that you donate your card after entering, but a young patient in one of the SAS4Kids hospitals would surely love it if you did. For information about donating cards, click on the tabs at the top of our blog. Please check our shippers' needs before sending cards their way.

As always, thank you for all you do for SAS4Kids. All of us at SAS4Kids wish you the happiest of holidays.

SAS4Kids: Winter Cards 4 Kids

Hello and Happy December, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

If you're like me, your crafting space is a whirlwind of activity right about now. And, our SAS4Kids shippers are certainly busy putting finishing touches on the holiday card boxes going out to our hospitals. So, here at SAS4Kids, we are turning our attention from Santa and his elves to focus on winter-themed cards for our kids. You will see our designers' cards feature snowmen.... and snowflakes... and winter-themed sentiments... and beautiful winter palettes! Let's take a look at these delightful wintry creations.

You have until December 31 -- yep, New Year's Eve -- to play along with this month's challenge. While we are featuring winter cards this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up. And, even though you don't have to send your card in to SAS4Kids to join in the fun, an in-patient child/teen would love it if you did.

Lastly, I know we say this every month, but we are so appreciative for your support of Send a Smile 4 Kids. I remember being overwhelmed with gratitude when I packed up holiday cards to send to the kids at Nationwide Children's. Each card we send out is a work of heart and we thank each and every one of you form the bottom of our hearts.

Happy Holidays! See you all in the new year!

Debbie's sports-themed birthday would be perfect for a special MVP!

It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

 #6  Rachelle Oltean

Our team was simply "batty" for Rachelle's card,
with its great coloring and CAS layout!

Stacy's purple cloudy background, paired with a punny sentiment
and beautifully-colored image, made for a ghoulishly fun card!

Linda's embossed brick wall background, wood plank sentiment strips
and trio of adorable Halloween images made for one wicked card!

SAS4Kids: Holiday/Celebration Cards 4 Kids

Hello, friends! Thanks for joining us for our new challenge.

With the holiday season right around the corner, we are featuring holiday/celebration cards for the kids. As you will see, our gals interpreted this in a couple of ways: cards celebrating holidays, cards celebrating birthday celebrations, and even a card celebrating the unbridled childhood joy of sledding down a hill!

SAS4Kids: August Accolades

Hi, everyone! A big thanks to everyone who played along with our August Thank You Card Challenge.

It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

 #1 Allisa

The soft colors (and heart and butterfly elements) are so sweet...
while that shaker element adds an unexpected bit of fun to this thank you card.

These are such wonderful SAS4Kids cards, with perfect images and sentiments
for expressing thanks to dedicated doctors, nurses and hospital staffers.

#8 Ma-Mi
We were taken by all the details in this sweet CAS card. The stenciled corner element
brings focus to that sweet image and the border Xs make for a perfect finishing touch.

Congratulations, ladies! Great job!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

Seems like so much has happened since our last challenge. We hope you are all safe and sound. And, we hope you are able to commemorate this holiday weekend with some special family time.

Labor Day weekend must mean it's September. September! Guess that means it's time to sip on a pumpkin spice latte while inking up a Jack-o'-lantern stamp. So, to help our shippers with their upcoming fall shipments, we are focusing on cute fall/Halloween cards for our kids.

This month, we are thrilled to have Allisa Steinlicht join us as a Guest Designer. SAS4Kids: July Jewels

Hi, everyone! A big thanks to everyone who linked up a card for our Christmas in July Challenge. Our gallery was filled with Santas... and penguins... and trees. Oh, my!

It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes. (You'll notice our DT selected a couple of slimline cards this time around. We do ask that, if you are making your cards for SAS4Kids, you check with our shippers to see if their hospitals accept non-A2 cards. Not all of them do. Thank you.)

5. Chrissy

Chrissy's delightful scene is chock-full of texture and dimension, and
her attention to detail in creating Santa's train and her background is amazing

Our DT was blown away by this interactive pendulum element and,
as always, we loved Trina's pham-tastic coloring!

Kids will love colorful dp and these adorable critters, and
we all really appreciated the tweaks Melanie made to the die cut.
She made small tweaks that made a big difference in the card's design.

Congratulations, ladies! Great job!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.
