SAS4Kids: June "Jems"

Hello, fellow crafty friends!

June's gallery showcased a wonderful variety of cards, including some great cards for tweens and teens. Our thanks to everyone who played along with us last month and/or shipped cards for our SAS4kids kids. Thank you so very much!

Now, it's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

#1 Deanne

Personally, cards for tween/teen boys are the most challenging for me.
And Deanne's card is a perfect tween/teen boy card. Perfect!!!

#6 Leona B

Q: What do you get when you combine a humorous sentiment with amazing coloring?
A: Leona's fun fry-inspired card!!!
There's not a teen around that wouldn't get a chuckle from this clever card.

Maria Giselle's card is an absolute showstopper.
Her gorgeous background is equaled only by lots of amazing texture.

Congratulations, ladies! Great job!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

SAS4Kids: Christmas in July 4 Kids

Happy Saturday, everyone! Here's wishing everyone here in The States a happy holiday weekend!

This is the time of year that most everybody in my neighborhood is thinking of swimming pool parties, steamy beach reads, and summertime barbecues. But this is also the time of year when, here at SAS4Kids, our DT starts thinking about holiday cards. And, from the looks of things, quite of a few of us have Santa on our minds.

Here are a few cards holiday cards that would be perfect for our SAS4Kids kids.

While we are focusing on Christmas cards this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for this month's challenge and you have until Friday August 2 to link up your creation. While you aren't required to donate your linked-up card to SAS4Kids, one of our hospitalized patients would love it if you did. SAS4Kids: May Marvels

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!

Great guy cards can be hard to come by... and that makes the Dad/Guy cards in our May gallery even more special. Card themes ranged from typical guy things like tools and guitars to... some unexpected fudgesicles. Yes, fudgesicles! How fun!

Here are three cards that caught the eyes of our Design Team gals.

1. Arlene R

Arlene's fun card has the two cutest fudge pops we've ever seen...
and we loved her clean, crisp CAS design. Great job. Arlene!

Epie's card is sure to get a Dad's engine revving on his special day.
We could almost feel the energy generated as this VW races down the road!

5. Karen

This "Right Angles" stenciled background is fabulous...
and the bold palette is perfect for Karen's groovy card. Rock on!

Congratulations, ladies! Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us.

SAS4Kids: Cards 4 Tweens/Teens

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday! Happy First Day of June!

The period from January through June is a whirlwind of activity in these parts. Right now, our shippers are finishing up a crazy busy stretch of sending out boxes and boxes of cards. These amazing ladies jump from boxes of hearts (for Valentine's) to boxes of bunnies (for Easter)... to boxes of flowers (for moms)... to boxes of tools and fishing gear (for dads). Whew! That's a lot of boxes! Thank you so much, shippers, for all you do! You are the glue that keeps us crafters connected to SAS4Kids kiddos.

Our DT is taking advantage of this summertime respite in the schedule to focus on our tween/teen patients. When I was shipping for Nationwide Children's, I was always excited to receive cards for our older patients. So, without further ado, let's see what our gals have created for our tweens and teens.

While we are focusing today on cards for our teens and tweens, any kiddie-appropriate can be linked up for this month's challenge. You have until July 5 to link up your creation. While you aren't required to donate your card to SAS4Kids to play along with us, one of our hospitalized patients would love it if you did. Here are three cards that caught the eyes of our Design Team gals.

1. Arlene

Arlene's GORGEOUS inky background is the perfect canvas for this sweet image.
Personally, this CAS card is a perfect reminder that less can be more. So much more!

2. Elizabeth

Elizabeth created a stunningly beautiful card that any mother would love.
And you all know how much we love pop ups, right?!

Jose also created a card that any mother would love to receive. So pretty!
The easel is a special touch. And that lavender evokes the most lovely memories.

Congratulations, ladies! Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us. Be sure to grab our Top 3 badge to display on your blog.

SAS4Kids: March Marvels

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday! Hope your weekend is off to a fabulous start.

A big shoutout to all of you who accepted last month's challenge to make a boy/guy card. Our shippers love receiving guy cards from our cardmakers. So, it was great seeing guy things... things like a trio of cute monsters, some colorful basketballs, and a pup in a wagon in our March gallery. Even Spiderman made an appearance! Here are three cards that caught the eyes of our designers. Thanks so much to all who played along!

1. Deanne

Deanne's simple design was a great way to feature these lil monsters.
And we adored those fun facial expressions. Such fun!

7. Valerie

Likewise, Valerie's design and color choices were perfect for her card.
Her Superman appears to be leaping right at us. How incredibly cool!

10. Maria Giselle

Maria Giselle's wowed us with her stitched sentiment.
Then, she masked out a carrot and painstakingly replaced a present.
Kids will love these attentions to detail. Love them!

Congratulations, ladies! Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us. Be sure to grab our Top 3 badge to display on your blog.

SAS4Kids: February Favorites!

Hi, everyone! Happy Weekend!

Spring/Easter cards are always so fun to make, aren't they?! They always offer a perfect opportunity to ink up baby animal stamps and use pretty pastel-colored papers. Here are three Spring/Easter cards that caught the eyes of our DT.

2. Arlene R

We just loved Arlene's CAS design... and chocolate bunny...
and fun, fun sentiment. What a cute card!

3. Donna W

Donna's sweet duckling and pretty colors make for a happy, happy card!
I'm going to have to remember this strategy for using up dp scraps.  :)

7. Trina

Not only does Trina's shaped card feature a baby animal and pastel colors,

SAS4Kids: January Jewels

Hi, everyone! Welcome back!

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who played along with last month's Love/Valentines 4 Kids Challenge and/or sent cards to our shippers. We know it can be tough to get back to crafting so soon after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. We truly appreciate all of our wonderful card makers who did just that. You all are the best!

The cards in our January Gallery were just so sweet. Here are three that caught our eyes.

Ginny's pup and birdie are absolutely adorable... and beautifully colored!
Moreover, her curved sentiment and torn edges are great design elements.

Jose's pastel-colored dinosaurs make for such an unusual spring card.
And we know how much kids love shape cards. How fun!

We can't get over the level of detail Maria Giselle put into this card.
Look closely at those Xs and Os. Really closely.
Those are all die cuts. All of them. Absolutely mind blowing!

Congratulations, ladies! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us. Be sure to grab our Top 3 badge to display on your blog.

Our current Spring/Easter Cards 4 Kids Challenge runs until March 1. While we are featuring Spring/Easter 4 Kids this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for the challenge.

It is never required that you donate your card after linking it up for the challenge, but a hospitalized kiddie/tween/teen would surely appreciate it if you did. The deadline for getting Spring/Easter cards to your favorite shipper(s) is actually just a couple days away. If you have Spring/Easter cards to get to your shipper(s), please reach out to them ASAP.
