SAS4Kids: Winter Cards 4 Kids

Hi, everyone! Yes, it is the first Saturday of a new month. First Saturdays around here mean it's time for a new challenge. First Saturdays in December -- yes, DECEMBER!!! -- mean it's time for a Winter Cards 4 Kids Challenge.

This time of year, our SAS4Kids shippers are certainly busy putting finishing touches on the holiday card boxes going out to our hospitals. The deadline for getting Christmas/holiday cards to the shippers is actually this Monday. So, if you have last minute cards you were planning on sending to a shipper, please reach out to her ASAP.

Time to take a look at our gals wintry creations. We have a fun shaker card, some cute critters, and a couple of adorable snowpeople. And, if you're interested in getting a head start on possible Valentine Cards 4 Kids, wintry love cards are always a great option.

You have until January 6 to play along with this month's challenge. While we are featuring winter cards this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up. And, even though you don't have to send your card in to SAS4Kids to join in the challenge fun, an in-patient child/teen would love it if you did.

Lastly, I know we say this every month, but we are so appreciative for your support of Send a Smile 4 Kids. I remember being overwhelmed with gratitude when I packed up holiday cards to send to the kids at Nationwide Children's. Each card we send out is a work of heart and we thank each and every one of you form the bottom of our hearts.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season! See you in the new year!

SAS4Kids: October Shout-Outs!

Hi, everyone! There is nothing like the holidays to get our crafting juices flowing, is there?! It was really great to see so many fun cards for kids in our Holiday/Celebration Cards 4 Kids Gallery. Thanks to all who played along.

And now it's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

We love receiving cute Halloween cards for the kids and boy, oh boy...
Deanna's Frankie couldn't be any cuter. Well done, Deanna!

Donna's design draws your eyes right to that candy corn and sentiment.
The orange in those papers tie all the elements together. What a great card!

Who knew Santa and Rudolph had time for selfies?
How clever! And Trina's coloring is just amazing. Wow!

Congratulations, ladies! Great job!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

  • Be sure to grab our Top 3 badge to display on your blog.
  • If you would like to join us as a Guest Designer for a future challenge, email Sybrina at cards[dot]by[dot]sybrina[at]gmail[dot]com. Please include SAS4Kids DT in your email subject line.

Our current Holiday Cards 4 Kids Challenge runs until December 2. However, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for the challenge.

It is not required that you donate your card after entering, but a young patient in one of the SAS4Kids hospitals would surely love it if you did. For information about donating cards, click on the tabs at the top of our blog. Please check your shippers' needs before sending cards their way.

As always, thank you all so much for your support of SAS4Kids. And, on behalf of all of us here at SAS4Kids, we wish you a blissful Thanksgiving.

SAS4Kids: Happy Holidays 4 Kids

Hello, everybody! Today is the first Saturday in November... which means it's time for a new challenge here at Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Yes, it's already that time of the year when our shippers shift their attention away from pumpkins and scarecrows to snowmen and Santas. I am really excited that we have such a wonderful variety of cards to share today. Not only do we have cards from all our designers, but we also have a fun card from a Guest Designer!

Arlene Rose shares her adventures in cardmaking at Sundaystamper Papercrafts, where you'll find great inspiration for all kinds of cards. In addition to sharing her fabulous kiddie and CAS cards, Arlene also shares lots of great ideas for guy cards. Thank you soooo much, Arlene, for joining us a Guest Designer this month... as well as for your loyal support of SAS4Kids!

While we are focusing on holiday cards 4 our kids this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for this month's challenge and you have until Friday, December 2 to share your creation. While you aren't required to donate your linked-up card to SAS4Kids, one of our hospitalized patients surely would love it if you did. Card submission information can be found by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.

As always, thanks so much for your support of SAS4Kids. Hope to see you in our Holiday Cards Gallery!
