SAS4Kids: December Darlings

Hi, everyone! Hope your new year is off to a great start.

A huge thank you to everyone who played along with last month's Winter Cards 4 Kids Challenge. Your December cards are always so darn cute, and last month our gallery was filled with so many fun winter cards! Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

Elizabeth created a beautiful vintage winter scene, complete with sparkly 3-D snow.
Our designers loved way the light hit that old-time house. So pretty!

22. Trina

Trina did it again, creating AMAZING dimension through stamping and masking.
But, as Tina asked on her blog, is the mouse tangling up a frenemy... or untangling a friend?

25. Deanne

Deanne also did it again, using her Cricut to create another adorable scene. Too cute!
We know there are kids with December birthdays who would love receiving a non-Christmasy card.

Our current challenge runs until February 2. While we featured Love/Valentine Cards 4 Kids this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for the challenge. 

While it is not required that you donate your card after entering, a hospitalized kiddie/tween/teen would surely appreciate it if you did. 

• Monday was the date listed on our website as the deadline for sending Valentine cards to our shippers.
• If you still have Valentine cards you would like to send to SAS4Kids, please touch base with your favorite shipper(s) ASAP. Thank you!

SAS4Kids: Love/Valentine Cards 4 Kids

Happy 2024! All of us at Send a Smile 4 Kids hope this new year rings in health and happiness... and lots of crafty fun. 

This month we are focusing on cards with love and Valentine themes that could be given to inpatient kids by their family members or hospital staffers. Believe it or not, the deadline to get Love/Valentine's Day cards to our shippers is January 15. Seriously, January 15! That's a mere week from Monday. Yikes! Looks like it's time to swap out candy canes for hearts and Santas for Cupids.

You have until noon US/Eastern Time on Friday, February 2, to join us for our current challenge. While we are focusing on Love/Valentine cards this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up to play along. Please remember that only cards are considered for Saturday Shout-Out honors. 

It is not required that you send your card to one of our shippers, but an in-patient child/tween/teen would love it if you did. If you are running a little late in completing your SAS4Kids Valentine cards, please reach out to your shipper(s). .

SAS4Kids: November Nuggets!

Hi, everyone! It's time for a few SAS4Kids shout-outs! 

Our November gallery was filled with cheery snowmen, Christmas critters, and holiday gnomes. Even Santa stopped by for a visit! A big thanks to everyone who played along with our Happy Holidays Challenge. 

Here are a few sweet cards that caught our DT's eyes.

It certainly serves as a perfect backdrop for Donna's sweet snowman!

Deanne and that Cricut machine of hers did it again.
Deanne's gingerbread man is as sweet as can be... and her dp is just perfect!

Speaking of doing it again, Trina's made another amazing one-layer card. Amazing!
She is an absolute genius at creating dimension through meticulous coloring.

Our current Winter Cards 4 Kids Challenge runs until January 5. While we appreciate seeing any and all papercraft creations, please keep in mind that only handmade CARDS are eligible for SAS4Kids Shoutout recognition. 

It is not required that you donate your card after entering, but a young patient in one of our SAS4Kids hospitals would surely love it if you did. For information about donating cards, click on the tabs at the top of our blog. Please check our shippers' needs before sending cards their way... and our Valentine's Day January 15th deadline will be here in the blink of an eye.
