SAS4Kids: Fun Fold Cards 4 Kids

Hi, everyone! Happy February!

Since this is the first Saturday of the month, we have a new challenge. Our theme this month is Fun Fold Cards 4 Kids.... with the operative words being fun and fold! (Wait until you see Mary's folds. A brilliant interpretation. BRILLIANT!)

We are approaching the spring months when our shippers are really, really busy. So, to help our shippers stock up on birthday cards, our designers created some adorable birthday cards. And, in keeping with the season, Celeste made a sweet Valentine's Day card. Please note the deadline for Valentine's Day has passed. Please check with your favorite shipper before sending Valentine's Day cards her way.

You have until Friday, February 28 to play along with us this month. You may always link up any kid-friendly card... even if it doesn't have a fun fold. Of course you are not required to donate your card to SAS4Kids, but a hospitalized child would surely love it if you did.

Thanks for stopping by! We look forward to seeing your creation(s) in our February gallery.

SAS4Kids: January Jewels!

Hi, everyone! Hope your new year is off to a great start.

A huge thank you to everyone who played along with last month's Winter Cards 4 Kids Challenge. We all know how hectic December is and we especially appreciate those of you who made time to play along with us.

Last month's cards were so darn cute. Here are three cards that caught our DT's eyes.

Jose's card truly transported us to a magical winter wonderland.
What a beautiful card! Beautiful! A perfect card for a tween/teen.

Deanne's cards always brings smiles to our faces. This card brought huge smiles. Huge!
Moreover, Deanne's post about her snowman building adventure with Zoe is delightful.

Magical and delightful also describe Trina's New Year's card.
Her magical background and delightful snowman help to create such a fun scene!

Congratulations, ladies! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us. Be sure to grab our Top 3 badge to display on your blog.

Our current new-stamp-old-stamp challenge runs until January 31. As always, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up to play along. And, while it is not required that you donate your card after entering, a hospitalized kiddie/tween/teen would surely appreciate it if you did.
  • Wednesday was the date listed on our website as the deadline for sending Valentine cards to our shippers.
  • If you still have Valentine cards you would like to send to SAS4Kids, please touch base with your favorite shipper(s) ASAP. Thank you!
As always, thanks so much for your support of Send a Smile 4 Kids. Your cards 4 our kids always put huge smiles on little faces.

SAS4Kids: "Make New Friends..."

Hello, everyone! Welcome back... and Happy 2025! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and wish you all the best in this new year: health, happiness, and hours of crafty fun!

It's the first Saturday of a new month, which means it's time for a new card-making challenge. This year, we have decided to change things up a bit. As the months pass, you will see that we are introducing some non-holiday-related challenges.

To ring in this new year, our January inspiration is the lyric from an old Girl Scout song. (Any other former Girl Scouts out there? Think I still have my badge sash!)

Girl Scout Song Lyric: Make new friends, but keep the old.

Our SAS4Kids Take: Ink up new stamps, but use the old.

That's right, this month's challenge is to make a card with a new stamp you've been looking forward to inking up... or with an old stamp that you haven't used in a while... or with both old and new stamps. Let's call it a stamp-lovers Anything Goes!

So, let's see what our uber talented designers have come up with. Be sure to visit their blogs to learn more about their stamp choices.

Here's to an exciting year of SAS4Kids challenges and to a dozen fun card-filled galleries. Happy crafting! (And a quick reminder for those working on Valentine's Day cards, the deadline for getting those to your shipper(s) is January 15.)
