Hi, everyone! It's the first Saturday of the month, which means it's time for a new challenge here at Send a Smile 4 Kids. And this month's theme is a brand spankin' new challenge for us. But more on that in a minute.
First, I have the pleasure of announcing the September participant who has been randomly selected to join us as a Guest Designer. This month's lucky number was 8.
Congratulations, Arlene! Please be sure to send me an email, including SAS4Kids in the subject line, at cards[dot]by[dot]sybrina[at]gmail[dot]com to schedule your upcoming guest designer appearance. Our thanks to everyone who shared their works of heart last month. It was wonderful to see such a nice variety of kiddie holiday cards. Some sweet, Some whimsical. Some classic. All wonderful!
Now, for that brand spankin' new challenge. Our theme is LOVE you SNOW Much. This month we are focusing on cards that feature snowflakes... or hearts... or both snowflakes AND hearts. Talk about a perfect theme for everyone to play along. Perfect for those of us finishing up holiday cards, as well as for those of us getting a head start on Valentine's Day. Perfect!
While we are focusing on 'LOVE You SNOW Much' cards 4 our kids this month, any kiddie-appropriate card can be linked up for this month's challenge and you have until Friday, January 2 to share your work of heart. While you aren't required to donate your linked-up card to SAS4Kids, one of our hospitalized patients surely would love it if you did. Card submission information can be found by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.
Yesterday was the deadline for getting Christmas and winter cards to our shippers. But, if you are still working on a few SAS4Kids cards, be sure to touch base with your favorite shipper(s).
If you find yourself ahead of the game, it's never too early to start on those Valentine's Day cards. That deadline is January 15! When I was shipping for Nationwide Children's in Columbus, I always wished I had a few more Valentines to slip into that shipment.
As always, thanks soooo much for your support of SAS4Kids. We look forward to seeing your works of heart in our 'LOVE You SNOW Much' Gallery.
And, all of us here wish you and yours the merriest of holidays and the happiest of new years!
